Imagination Scarf

A few months ago the lovely people at Sirdar kindly sent me some of their gorgeous Imagination yarn to try out. It is a soft,  chunky weight yarn made from 100% acrylic and comes in 8 different colour ways.  I had 4 balls of ‘Moonriver’ which is a mixture of blues, pinks, purples and greens, as we are still in the depths of winter here in the UK I decided to make myself a new scarf – I knew that it would be incredibly soft and cosy to wear.

I am thrilled with the finished scarf which is made using a simple v-stitch, I have included the pattern below. I would definitely recommend this yarn, the photos do not do it’s pretty colour justice and I absolutely loved its soft texture – a pleasure to work with!

Imagination Scarf Pattern

  • ch – Chain
  • st – Stitch
  • tr – Treble Crochet (US Double Crochet)

Pattern is written in UK terms.

Row 1 – tr into 5th chain from the hook, ch1, tr into same stitch, *skip 2 ch, (tr, ch1, tr) in next st, repeat from * across until you have 2 ch left, tr in last ch, turn.

Row 2 – ch3, *(tr, ch1, tr) in ch1 space, repeat from * across to end, tr in top of ch3, turn.

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing together. Using a darning needle sew the short ends of the scarf together and then weave in the ends to finish.

  1. This is gorgeous! Such lovely yarn too. Would it be possible to find out the rough height and width of the scarf? Thanks for the great pattern.
